Her family consisted of three siblings and a brother. She regularly practiced Hungarian in order to improve her language proficiency. Bruckner was born in Hollywood California to a Hungarian father as well as a Russian mother. They later divorced. Her paternal grandfather was German. The couple came together in Hungary and relocated to the U.S. in 1984 through the refugee camp located in Italy. The siblings of her are two sisters and one brother.
